Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse. You will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist in triaging patients and prioritize care based on assessment and clinical judgement.
- Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Charge nurse duties as requested; charge capability is highly preferred.
- Floating to other departments as required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.
- Active NY RN License and all RN licenses must be verified through NURSYS.
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Experience with EPIC EMR.
- 2 recent references from ED Charge or Manager RNs.
- Drivers license with an address matching demographics.
