RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Work every other weekend with scheduling that must meet department needs - no block scheduling available
• No floating outside of ED but must be flexible to work in all sections within the emergency department
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year emergency room experience
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• High volume emergency department handling over 100,000 visits annually
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date), ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas plus unit clerks
• Navy scrubs required
• Must follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards
• Keep patient boards updated with information throughout visits
