We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. This hospital serves as a vital healthcare provider in the region, recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety. As a member of our emergency department, you will be part of a high-performing team delivering superior care in a fast-paced environment.
About the Facility
This facility is known as a premier healthcare institution, serving as the region's referral center for various specialized services, including:
- Level II Trauma Center
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Only Pediatric Hospital in the region with a Pediatric Emergency Room
Our emergency department is among the busiest in the area, managing over 100,000 visits annually and known for its advanced robotic surgery program and outstanding cardiac care.
Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 (Medical), up to 7:1 (ED Behavioral Holds)
- Available Support: Techs for cardiac monitoring, triage, and unit clerks for day and night shifts
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
- Current certifications required before hire: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time feedback and coaching to peers
- Flexibility to work across different areas within the Emergency Department
