RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department with a typical patient ratio of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral hold patients
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement with flexibility needed to meet department needs
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED (no floating outside of ED)
• 2+ years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Level 2 trauma center and high volume (>100,000 visits) ED experience preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide feedback in real time
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Support staff includes techs in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks
• Follow patient experience requirements including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout visit
• Navy scrubs required uniform
• Must have flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
