ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Emergency Department Nurse

Shift:

6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Unit Information:

  • Number of Beds: 101
  • Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 for medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
  • Staff Description: Techs work in cardiac monitoring and the internal processing area, triage; Unit clerks available days and nights
  • Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
  • Documentation System: Cerner

Scheduling Details:

  • Every other weekend required
  • Must meet department needs without block scheduling commitments
  • No floating outside of the ED; must be open to floating to all sections within the ED

Patient Experience Requirements:

Adherence to AIDET principles, respectful behavior, and ensuring patients are updated throughout their visit.

Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (before start date)
  • BLS (before start date)
  • PALS (before start date)
  • TNCC (before start date)
  • CPI (before start date)
  • NIHSS (before start date)
  • ENPC (within 90 days of hire)

Hiring Profile:

  • 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
  • Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000 visits)
  • Preferred: Previous HCA experience
  • Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an ER setting
  • Teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Required uniform: Navy scrubs
