**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Asheville, NC. Our facility is recognized as one of America’s top hospitals, with a commitment to providing high-quality clinical care and patient safety.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting, typically handling a medical patient ratio of 4:1, and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds.
- Conduct triage and manage patient flow within the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Techs and Unit Clerks, to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Utilize advanced equipment, including Baxter pumps and GE monitors, to perform essential nursing duties.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Cerner system and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Follow established protocols and behavior standards to enhance patient experience and safety, including AIDET framework and respectful interactions.
- Participate in emergency training and maintain certifications, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS, as required.

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide feedback in real-time.
- Flexibility to work in various areas of the Emergency Department.
- Must possess required certifications prior to the start date and complete ENPC within 90 days of hire.
