Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Cardiac Progressive Care Nurse to provide specialized care to patients in a progressive care unit. The candidate will have a strong focus on cardiac and respiratory patient diagnoses, including congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and respiratory problems.
Responsibilities- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.
- Perform pre and post-cardiac catheterization care.
- Administer and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Provide procedural sedation administration and manage chest tubes.
- Oversee tracheostomy management and external CPAP/BIPAP devices.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Progressive Care Unit experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIHSS preferred.
- Pass/Fail EKG exam required prior to the start date.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- EPIC charting system experience is required.
