Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of home health experience for a travel home health assignment in North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting covering a daily patient load of 6 visits
- Average daily driving distance is 60-80 miles with no maximum mileage limit; mileage is reimbursed weekly
- Patient types include chronic disease management and orthopedic surgery recovery
- No weekend rotation, on-call, or major holiday requirement
- Utilizes Epic Rover (view only), Focura, Samsung Note 9 phones, and Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
- Schedule is structured in 13-week cycles
- Role includes completing patient evaluations, reassessments, discharges, and supervising PTAs
- Supported by departmental leadership, scheduler, clinical manager, clinical supervisor, and clinical team
- Orientation includes NEO and a five-day training period
- Scrub color is grey and free parking is provided
- Team-oriented department culture
- Time off requests require manager approval
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active North Carolina PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
- Ability to perform evaluations, reassessments, discharges, and supervision of PTAs
- Only candidates living at least 50 miles from the home unit are eligible
- First-time travelers accepted if experienced in home health
