Emergency Department Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Night shift position in the Emergency Department. This role involves working 3x12 hour shifts or 4x12 hours with a schedule of 7 PM to 7 AM, covering every other weekend.

• Stabilize trauma patients and facilitate their transfer to a Level 1 Emergency Department.
• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced environment with an average patient census of 200 per day.
• Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 4:1, ensuring the safety and comfort of all patients.
• Document patient care and interventions using the Epic charting system.
• Adhere to all infection control guidelines, including managing COVID-19 patient care.
• Respond to on-call requirements as needed, with a report-in time of one hour.

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, ASLS required.
• Experience: Prefer experience in conscious sedation and triage; required IV start skills.
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC and ENPC; CPI certification strongly preferred.
• Previous Charge Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred.
• Candidate must be willing to float to like acuities or less as needed.
• Education verification required at the time of submittal (proof of high school diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree).

• No flu or TDAP exemptions or declinations accepted.
• Must sign up for one 12-hour on-call shift within a six-week period.
• Returning staff must be gone for six months before returning as a traveler.

The Emergency Department is a 52-bed unit complemented by a 4-bed Behavioral Health Unit, functioning under a 25/7 supervisor coverage model.
