Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Open Heart Surgery. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in scrubbing open heart cases and be able to work within a fast-paced and challenging environment.

• Scrub and circulate open heart cases including CABG, mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valve procedures.
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures such as aortic dissections, pericardial windows, and chest cases like thoracotomies and VATS.
• Manage ECMO and assist with LVAD and Impella procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and protocols regarding patient care.
• Maintain a 30-minute call response time as required.

• Current RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in open heart surgery.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with robotic procedures in chest cases is preferred.
• Must have the ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.

• 4x10 Hour Shift: Days (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM)
• Call required with a non-negotiable 30-minute response time.

• Full compliance file must be submitted by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
• Education verification through a third party is required.
• Background check with no open cases is mandatory.

Please note that we do not accept first-time travelers unless they have substantial open heart surgical experience.
