Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleThe shift for this role is Day 3x12-Hour, from 07:00 to 19:30, with weekend and holiday rotations required.
Job DescriptionAs a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide essential nursing care to patients in a telemetry monitored environment, primarily focusing on cardiac surveillance. You will work within an interdisciplinary support team, managing patient care and ensuring high standards of health services.
Responsibilities- Administer blood products and manage cardiac telemetry.
- Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage vasoactive drips.
- Provide isolation precautions and wound care management.
- Assist in patient education and advocacy, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Progressive Care Unit or telemetry setting.
- Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Ability to float to various campuses as needed.
- Successful completion of a Pass/Fail EKG exam is required.
