Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, primarily focusing on medical surgical patients.

Job Description:

The RN will be responsible for the following:

• Monitoring and managing patient care for various diagnoses including respiratory conditions, surgical observation, and general medical-surgical cases.
• Administering medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Performing EKGs and interpreting results.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN is required.
• Mandatory EKG exam pass/fail requirement for all RNs.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to float to any required location if necessary.
• Charge RN experience preferred.

Compliance Requirements:

• Candidate must have a completed compliance file by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
• Education verification through a third party is mandatory.
• No open cases on background check will be accepted.

Work Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts, Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Weekends and holidays may be required based on scheduling needs.
• Call required as needed.

Patient Population:

This position will involve caring for adults and geriatric patients with conditions including but not limited to:

• Observation patients
• Respiratory issues
• Palliative and end-of-life care
• Psychiatric observation
• Surgical observation

Please note that this role will require flexibility with scheduling due to the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
