Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a night shift position (3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30). As part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform initial assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the education of patients and families regarding health conditions and care.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holidays as needed
• No Call Required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, TNCC certifications preferred.
• Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
• Must have EPIC experience.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 4-5.
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required during compliance.

Compliance Information

All applicants must be aware of a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. A full compliance file, including necessary verifications, must be completed by 12 noon EST on the Wednesday prior to the start date.

Patient and Facility Information

• Daily patient census: Approximately 180.
• Number of beds: 63.
• An interdisciplinary support team is available including respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.
• Special procedures include stroke, cardiac, and Level 2 trauma services.

Note: All travelers are subject to float to any campus if needed. RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be submitted with the application. Changes after submission will not be accepted.
