Job Description: Registered Nurse - CVICU
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.
Facility InformationLocation: City, State
Facility Type: Hospital with 355 beds, including specialized centers for brain, cancer, heart, lung, and more.
Position Details- Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or as needed by the facility
- Call Requirements: No on-call duties
- Number of Beds: 8
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 with occasional 1:1
- Equipment Used: Impella, IABP, CRRT
- EHR System: Cerner
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of CVICU experience (after orientation is complete)
Education: Associate Nursing Degree
Preferred Skills and Experience- CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Common diagnoses treated include CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotids
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
