Job Description: Night Shift Travel Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse for a Night Shift position offering 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and have travel experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

• Work with a patient population primarily consisting of surgical patients, including those undergoing colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, and orthopedic/spine procedures.
• Provide exceptional nursing care while adhering to the unit’s policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Participate in self-scheduling based on unit needs and input from the Nurse Manager.

• Expected to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, NYE, New Year's Day). Working both the eve and day of holidays is not permitted.
• Mandatory floating within the hospital to meet census demands and based on skills.
• Completing 36 hours of unit orientation prior to engaging in patient care.
• Must be proficient in intravenous (IV) starts and telemetry.

• Active BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Must have strong skills in blood product administration and central line care.
• Comfortable managing isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management.

• Target patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
• Occasional weekend shifts required, with a float requirement every other weekend.
• Navy blue or white scrubs are required.
• Position available for 16-17 weeks with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
