Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry RN - Night Shift
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night Shift position. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality patient care on the telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing, with a commitment to patient safety and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans.
- Document all patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- Must have a valid and active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Recent (within the last 6 months) experience with Epic charting is required.
- One recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
- Ability to work at least every other holiday.
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation, with acceptable scores needed to pass.
This position offers Night Shift with 3 - 12 hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Additional InformationCandidates will need to undergo a background check and must meet the facility’s compliance standards. Participation in pre-hire modules, fingerprinting, and badge pickup is required prior to start date. Note that specific nicotine-free policies apply to travelers.
