Length: 25 weeks

Call: Will take 1/3 of the call.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a surgical tech
• Graduated from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist school or equivalent military training or 10+ years’ experience as a Surgery Technician
• High school diploma or GED
• Must have strong endovascular experience
• Strong cardiac experience including scrubbing hearts or a Vascular Surg Tech
• Large Hospital experience (Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required)
• AHA BLS

• Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles

SUMMARY and PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Surgical Technologist and/or the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies and instruments post operatively.
Candidate must have experience scrubbing a variety of cases including endovascular, general and ortho. Other service lines include GYN, General, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma. Department consists of 20 OR suites and an average volume or census of approximately 50. Hospital will provide a locker and scrubs.
