Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a pediatric acute care position with expertise in infant feeding and a current Oklahoma license required.

Responsibilities
  • Work in pediatric rehab services within an acute care hospital setting
  • Patient population includes infants and children requiring speech and feeding therapy
  • Schedule is day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week with some flexibility up to 40 hours
  • Preference given to candidates with infant feeding experience, but outpatient speech and feeding therapy experience will be considered
  • Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for communication disorders in pediatric patients
  • Duties include performing diagnostic tests, documenting client progress, and determining therapy needs
  • May assist students in clinical rotations when appropriate
  • Dress code and other onboarding expectations will be provided during orientation
  • Returning employees are subject to a maximum of 26 weeks per contract with a required 6-month gap before reapplying
Requirements
  • Active Oklahoma license from the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology required if applicable
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required on hire
  • Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology required
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an SLP required
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
