Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, requiring a compact or Oklahoma RN license and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position based in the Neuro Transplant ICU of a hospital
- Fast paced environment at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend and holiday work required according to facility policy
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Care for a broad range of neuro and transplant ICU patients with complex medical needs
- Responsible for monitoring physiological data, administering medications, IVs, and blood products, and assisting in diagnostic and minor procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and engage patients and families in the care plan
- Delegation of appropriate patient care tasks to support staff
- Holiday and every other weekend coverage required as part of schedule
- Must be able to maintain strong professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or valid compact/multistate RN license (eNLC)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to diverse patient needs
