Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with at least one year of recent experience, night shift availability, and current RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Care for patients with a range of obstetric health conditions from simple to complex
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
- Primary duties include providing and documenting nursing care, assisting physicians, monitoring patient status, and administering medications and IV infusions
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients and collaborating with families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- May delegate certain tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Compliance with all onboarding and testing requirements is mandatory
- A six month separation is required after a maximum extension of 26 weeks before becoming eligible for rehire
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
- Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required
- Active AHA certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or Instructor certification required
- Some computer skills required
