Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a mixed-setting role covering outpatient, inpatient, and home health/hospice assignments, with a focus on pediatric care and Oregon state licensure required.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a combination of outpatient, inpatient, and home health/hospice settings within a rehabilitation department
  • Approximately 20% inpatient and 80% outpatient caseload, with 60% of patients being pediatric
  • Serve a diverse rural community in Eastern Oregon
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team including SLPs, OTs, PTs, nursing, and home health aides
  • Day shift schedule
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and voice disorders
  • Coordinate therapy activities with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal outcomes
  • Document patient assessments and treatments in compliance with departmental and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in continuous performance improvement and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Supervise students and support personnel as required by state licensure regulations
  • Emphasis on supporting work-life balance and continuing education
  • Dress code: maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a healthcare setting
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • SLP license in good standing with the State of Oregon (license required if applicable)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Experience in home health, hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
