Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a day shift acute care assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a short-term acute care hospital in the X-ray department
- Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekend shifts required
- Block scheduling provided
- On-call required for 2 shifts per month
- Epic charting experience required
- May float to sister facilities within the state as needed
- Scrub attire can be any color; facility-provided scrubs for OR and Cath Lab
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- First-time travelers are eligible for this position
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Requested time off (RTO) up to 6 days total or 3 consecutive days can be auto-approved; larger requests may delay offer
- All training modules must be completed before the start date
- Travelers expected to float between nearby affiliated facilities as needed
- Supportive teaching hospital environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist
- Current certification and licensure as required for the assignment (license required if applicable)
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years required for consideration
- Epic EMR experience required
- Return staff must wait 3 months between permanent and travel assignments
- Must live outside a 50 mile radius from facility for eligibility for travel compensation
