**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic/Trauma/Surgical**

**Location:** West Central Pennsylvania

**Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in our Orthopedic, Trauma, and Surgical unit. As a Level 1 Trauma Center and a leading healthcare facility in West Central Pennsylvania, our focus is on providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment. This role will involve caring for adults and geriatric patients, with a focus on trauma, orthopedic, and surgical cases.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care and support for orthopedic and trauma patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC electronic health record system.
- Uphold patient safety and quality standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

**Qualifications:**
- Current RN license (State requirements apply).
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience; trauma or orthopedic experience is preferred.
- BLS certification is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and float to different units as needed.

**Unit Information:**
- Number of Beds: Two units with 22 beds per side.
- Patient Ratios: 1:6 ratio.
- Equipment: Minimal; focus on direct patient care.
- Supervisor: Katherine Stibach

**Hiring Requirements:**
Candidates must meet the following Pennsylvania requirements prior to starting:
1. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
2. Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
3. FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if needed)
4. PATCH PA State Police Clearance
