Night Shift RN - Step Down Intermediate Care Unit

ScheduleNight shift, 3x12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM), weekends as needed (likely every other weekend).
Job DescriptionThe RN will provide care in a Step Down Intermediate Care Unit, primarily for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and stroke-related conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac disease and stroke.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, adjusting care as needed.
- Administer intravenous medications including cardiac drips and manage equipment.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members including therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
- Float to various units as needed, caring for patients with additional diagnoses such as respiratory illnesses and end-of-life care.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is necessary.
- No license hits accepted; RN license is required.
- Ability to care for high-acuity patients, including those undergoing cardiac procedures.
