Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods, and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Implement care plans under the direction of the licensed physician.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families to ensure individualized care.
  • Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care.
  • Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in the area of clinical specialty (Preferred)
  • Current PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • Basic Life Support certification (Required)
