This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30), with call required for 1-2 shifts per week and weekend shifts every third weekend.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess ACLS and BLS certifications and demonstrate proficiency in the Epic charting system. The RN will be responsible for providing exceptional care to adult patients in the cardiac cath lab environment, managing both routine and emergency cases, and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and thrombolytics, as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings in the Epic charting system.
- Perform and interpret 12 lead EKG/ECG tests.
- Assist with cardiac implant procedures and manage complications.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization lab.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency in using Epic for patient charting.
- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures such as PCI and TAVI/TAVR is preferred.
