RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques
• Make professional judgments pertaining to patient care and demonstrate clinical competence
• Assist providers with patient care and education activities
• Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills for quality patient care and treatment
• Experience with examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures required
• Understanding of medication effects on patients and patient education principles
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in healthcare settings
• Familiarity with office procedures and medical terminology
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Must react calmly and effectively during emergency situations
• Ability to identify and analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and make confident quick decisions
• Administer various medications and treatments using different types of medical equipment
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required with renewal every two years
