RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Responsible to the Unit Manager for overall nursing practice during assigned shift
• Provide professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through use of the nursing process
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate effectiveness of care
• Collect and analyze patient health data using appropriate assessment techniques
• Document all relevant patient data and care provided
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in care planning
• Participate in quality improvement activities and peer review processes
• Maintain current knowledge through ongoing educational activities
• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) certification required within four months of end of probation
• Practice according to "Code for Nurses" and "Patient's Bill of Rights"
• Maintain patient confidentiality and act as patient advocate
• Participate in out of facility patient transport utilizing nursing process
• Demonstrate leadership skills in prioritizing and delegating patient care activities
• Meet specialty standards of nursing practice applicable to primary area of practice
