Job Description
Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care. Assist providers in patient care and education. Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality patient care and treatment, including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families on health and wellness principles.
- React calmly and effectively during emergency situations.
- Identify and analyze problems, prioritize, and make confident quick decisions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- One year nursing experience preferred.
- Must hold a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- Must meet American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew every two years.
