8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday – no call, no weekend shifts.

The Pre and Post Procedural RN for the Endoscopy Unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care before and after procedures. This role involves assessing patient needs, ensuring effective communication among care teams, and delivering quality patient education.

• Assess and respond to patients' individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs while acting as a patient advocate.
• Utilize professional nursing skills and judgment to implement care and address identified problems.
• Communicate patient assessments effectively to coordinate care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs, radiology, and EKG; perform IV therapy.
• Transcribe and implement physicians' orders accurately while admitting patients efficiently.
• Document patient clinical records via computer in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide knowledgeable instruction and education to patients and their families.
• Manage supplies according to policy to contain costs without compromising care quality.
• Assist with housekeeping duties when necessary.
• Use critical thinking to assess and deliver appropriate nursing care, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain communication as a float nurse to support operational flow across units.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
