Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - General Operating Room

Location: City, State Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our General Operating Room. The ideal candidate must possess a strong clinical background and a proven track record in Level I Trauma settings. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including working on major holidays and weekends as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the General Operating Room.
• Function independently across various specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General, Gynecology, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, and Thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart).
• Perform and assist in surgical procedures utilizing the Davinci Xi Surgical System and, preferably, the DV5 robot.
• Participate in the on-call rotation with a 30-minute callback response time.
• Care for COVID-19 patients as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with at least one year in a Level II Trauma facility.
• Expertise in robotic surgery, including proficiency in robotic general, gynecology, thoracic, and urology procedures.
• Must hold a valid nursing license with no hits.
• Previous travel experience is required.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system is strongly preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

• 3x12 hour shifts (0700-1930) with no block scheduling.
• Availability to work 4-5 weekend shifts and 4-5 call shifts within a 6-week schedule.
• Responsible for working two of three major holidays, with restrictions on time off during Black Friday and the week of Christmas.

• Unit supports a diverse patient population including Neonates, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
• The unit includes interdisciplinary support services such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.
• Orientation and ongoing training will be provided.
