**Job Title: Oncology Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)**

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with medical oncology needs, focusing on palliative and end-of-life care, as well as the administration of chemotherapy. The ideal candidate will have advanced chemotherapy certification and be proficient in telemetry monitoring.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments to oncology patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients for response to treatment and manage side effects, including complications such as anaphylaxis and extravasation injury.
- Provide care and management of central lines and implanted ports, along with blood and blood products administration.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system and maintain up-to-date patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, side effects, and coping strategies.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring a positive experience while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

**Qualifications:**
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology or telemetry setting.
- **Required Certifications:** ONS/ONCC Advanced Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong telemetry experience and proficiency in EPIC charting.
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 during night shifts.
- Experience in a community hospital setting is a plus.

**Schedule:**
- Night shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), with every other weekend required.
- Orientation will likely occur on day shifts.

**Additional Information:**
- Floating to other medical/surgical units may be required based on patient needs.
- Candidates must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements, with allowable medical or religious exemptions.
- The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free.
