American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a home health setting, working with medically complex and orthopedic patients.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a home health setting serving the Southern Black Hills region and surrounding areas
- Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, cardiac conditions, orthopedic, neurologic, dementia, and general weakness
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, OTs, PTAs, SLPs, aides, MSWs, and case managers
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, day shifts, with no weekend or on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting; EPIC orientation provided
- No specific equipment experience is required
- Orientation generally takes approximately one week and includes EPIC training and shadowing
- No denim or sweatpants permitted; scrubs of any color or business casual attire are accepted
- Office is closed on six major holidays
- No local travelers allowed within 100 miles of the facility location
- First-time travelers are welcome for this role

- Current SD licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience
- Proficiency in general physical therapy skills including evaluation, intervention planning, and medical assessment
- Ability to develop individualized care plans
