Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Role Overview:
The Travel RN provides high-quality patient care in a long-term acute care (LTAC) setting, ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission; develop individualized plans of care

  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide education to patients and families

  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission

  • Communicate changes in patient status and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team

  • Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel

  • Promote personal and environmental safety following hospital policies

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses

  • Assume charge responsibility as requested and prioritize tasks to optimize patient care

  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study
