American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute care assignment requiring SD licensure and BLS certification.

• Position is in an acute care setting with coverage across outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility units
• Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; no weekends or call required
• Primary work will be in an outpatient hospital-based environment with some inpatient and sub-acute coverage
• Patient population includes all ages with various diagnoses and disorders
• Facility has 8 beds for rehabilitation services
• Uses EPIC (One Chart) for computerized charting; experience with modality equipment required
• Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, establishing and updating therapeutic plans, and providing patient and family education
• Must follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and incorporate current research into daily treatment
• Department provides standard orientation on safety, HIPAA, and equipment use
• Business casual dress code is required
• All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility
• Candidates with prior employment at Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months before consideration and disclose prior employment
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be accepted

• Active SD Physical Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent physical therapy experience
• Experience in acute care settings preferred
• Ability to perform documentation and therapy procedures according to departmental guidelines
