RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work varied shifts in the operating room with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend work required (details to be discussed during interview)
• Call requirements: Yes
• Patient ratio: 1:1 OR nursing
• Must have strong neurosurgery experience with 2+ years OR experience in acute care setting (not surgery center)
• Perform high volume of general surgery, neurosurgery including craniotomies, orthopedic, robotic procedures, urology, plastic surgery, heart surgery, and transplants
• Work with advanced equipment including DaVinci XI robots, Globus and Mako robots, microscopes, and other standard OR equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating as needed throughout facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Robotic experience and Meditech experience preferred
• Facility provides scrubs
• Nail policy: Clean and healthy, no gel or artificial nails extending beyond fingertips
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Body art should be covered when possible; visible piercings other than ears prohibited

The facility specializes in high-volume surgical procedures and maintains advanced technology including multiple robotic surgical systems. The surgical department provides support staff with 1-2 surgical technicians per case and offers a wide range of specialty surgical services to serve the community's complex medical needs.
