iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas.
Job Description & RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
• Valid RN license in the state of Texas or appropriate active license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and labor/delivery procedures
• Must have knowledge of labor and delivery protocols, including cesarean section circulation
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in using Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, GE core metrics, and other specialized equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Previous experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting with a busy unit of approximately 35 beds
• Experience with placing FSE and IUPC, and familiarity with antepartum testing procedures
• Knowledge of unit-specific policies on Pitocin, cervical ripening, and magnesium sulfate protocols
• Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in a maternal care environment
