RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 3 x 12-hour shifts with alternating/rotating weekends
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios of 2:1 (3:1 if low acuity)
• 12-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Float as needed per Methodist floating policy
• Document using Meditech system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Must have active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• 2+ years of hospital experience required
• General ICU experience required
• Titration of drips experience required
• Preferred skills: Neuro ICU experience, CABG, CRRT, Prisma Flex, Meditech experience
• Perform procedures including A-line, central lines, chest tubes, cardioversion, paracentesis
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
