RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Level 3 and Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Patient ratios: L3 2:1 and 1:1 dependent on acuity, L2: 3:1
• Days: 4 weekends Saturday/Sunday required
• Nights: 5 weekends Friday/Saturday/Sunday required
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• May float to Mother Baby unit (will only manage babies)
• Work with equipment including radiant warmers, isolettes, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, vents, oscillators, JETs, CPAP, NIPPV, High Flow nasal cannula
• Electronic medical records: CPN and Meditech
• Must demonstrate safe medication administration and calculations
• Care for patients 22 weeks gestation and above
• Perform procedures including intubations, lab draws, PICC placement assistance, and bedside surgical procedures
• Experience with ETT, ventilators, cooling, and surgical patients preferred
• Must be proficient in NAS scoring and developmentally appropriate care for preterm infants
• Team player personality with openness to feedback required

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 42-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit located on the 3rd floor of the Central Tower. The NICU maintains a staff of 103 healthcare professionals and provides advanced care for critically ill newborns. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment to support complex medical needs of neonatal patients, offering both Level 2 and Level 3 care capabilities with specialized support services available around the clock.
