Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position.

Centra, Virginia

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in managing patients with ventilators, chest tubes, drains, and intravenous medications. This role requires specialization in ventilator management and weaning, wound care, and infectious disease.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant specialty
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Active Virginia / Compact License at time of submission
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the submission packet

• 12-hour Day shifts
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
• Assignments end on Saturdays
• Orientation sessions conducted every other week on Mondays
• 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs

This position involves working in a teaching hospital environment where you will frequently interact with students and new hires. All team members, including travelers, are expected to contribute to a supportive culture.

Note that candidates within 60 miles are not accepted for this position, and the client reserves the right to cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census changes.
