Emergency Room Registered Nurse
General Information
Location: Richmond, VA
This is a 13-week contract position.
Unit Overview
- Number of Beds: 18
- Patient Ratios: 4/5:1
- Staffing Description: RNs, Nurse Externs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
- Type of Equipment: Zolls, Ultrasound, GE Monitors with 12 lead, Welch Allen Vital Signs, BD IVs
- Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements
- Every other weekend required
- Floating policy: Assisting as Helping Hands if needed
Qualifications
- 1 year of Emergency Room experience preferred
- Must have: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications
- Advanced skills preferred: TNCC and ENPC
Procedures Performed
Typical procedures on unit include IVs, blood collection, medication administration, and documentation.
Dress Code
Required uniform: Blue scrubs, with no off-brand hoodies or jackets unless pre-approved.
