Job DescriptionThe Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. This includes managing high-acuity cardiac conditions and monitoring telemetry patients. The role involves both inpatient care and observation unit responsibilities with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patients' health status, including interpreting dysrhythmias.
- Administer necessary treatments and medications, including IV drips such as heparin and amiodarone.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Float between units as required, maintaining a flexible approach to patient assignments.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a telemetry or medical-surgical specialty.
- Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Valid RN license in West Virginia or compact state; pending licenses may be accepted.
