Job Opportunity: Stepdown/Med Surg RN

Join our dedicated nursing team with the following shift details:

• Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday Requirement: Rotate between evenings or days

This role is within a Stepdown/Med Surg unit featuring:

• Number of Beds: 20
• Nurse Ratios: Stepdown 1:3; Floor 1:5-6
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: House Supervisor
• Nurse Aids: Yes, 2 per shift
• Telemetry: Yes, monitored at Ruby with RNs reading strips

The RN will provide care to patients with common diagnoses such as:

• Respiratory issues
• Weakness
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
• Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)
• Chest pain

The ideal candidate will possess the following certifications and experience:

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Must have Stepdown experience

Qualified candidates should be comfortable with:

• Titrating drips, including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Utilizing respiratory therapy equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and High flow

This position offers:

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 91 weeks

Clients may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.

Charting will be conducted using EPIC.
