Nursing Position Available: 12-Hour Night Shifts

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated nursing professionals for 12-hour night shifts, primarily in an acute care setting. The successful candidate will float between MedSurg/Telemetry units and occasionally care for patients in a step-down unit.

Unit Highlights

• 50-mile radius rule applies for all submissions.
• Candidates must include a copy of their unexpired driver's license.
• Background hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
• Ability to provide pediatric care and obtain PALS certification while employed is highly desirable.

ICU Details

The unit consists of a 4-bed ICU that operates as a step-down unit, rarely requiring vent management. Primarily, patients will be on BiPap, with infrequent use of drips such as insulin, cardizem, and levophed on occasion. The nurse-patient ratio is typically 2:1 but can adjust to 4:1 for lower acuity patients.

Working Environment

The ICU is staffed with one RN and one tech, requiring an independent nursing approach. Our MedSurg unit is connected, allowing for collaboration with other nursing staff. We utilize telemedicine to consult with intensivists and have local attending physicians managing patients.

Schedule and Hours

• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekend shifts: As scheduled
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 91 weeks

• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• PALS (AHA)

Cancellation Policy

The client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.

Charting System

The facility uses Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR for charting.
