Job Description: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract working night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details
  • Schedule: Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30)
  • Requirements: Weekdays, every other weekend
Unit Profile
  • Average Patient Load: 0.2 patients per day.
  • Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics.
  • Daily Census: Average of 0.2 patients per day.
  • Number of Beds: 2.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
  • Licensure: WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted.
  • Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS, NIH.
  • Skills Required:
    • Conscious sedation
    • Telemetry
    • Ventilator management
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Charge experience
    • Accessing ports and central line management
    • Caring for ventilated patients
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain patient records and document care in the EMR system (CPSI).
Additional Details
  • Scrubs: Not provided; candidates should bring their own (wine and/or burgundy).
  • Orientation: 12 hours of orientation required, scheduled every other Thursday.
  • Modules: Average of 8 hours spent on non-billable modules prior to start.
