Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Nurse will work in a Birthing Center/Mother Baby unit, providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. The unit features homelike suites for labor and delivery with a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients during labor and delivery.
- Circulate and recover in C-section procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the AWHONN standards for patient ratios.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including OB hospitalists and Neonatology support.
- Participate in holiday rotations and weekend requirements.
- Monitor patients and administer medications as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- 1 year of experience in Mother Baby unit is preferred.
- C-section experience is required, with the ability to circulate and recover.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and live outside 50 miles from the facility.
