Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho/Tele

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Ortho/Tele unit. This position requires strong orthopedic experience, especially in total joint replacements and related procedures. The RN will work night shifts and weekends as needed, providing exceptional patient care in a critical healthcare setting.

Unit Information:

• Unit Name: 7NE - Ortho/Tele
• Total Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and assist in total joint replacement procedures.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Coordinate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EPIC charting system.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nursing License in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification required.
• Strong orthopedic experience is a must, particularly with total joint replacements.
• Prior experience in a telemetry unit preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and be flexible with scheduling demands, including holidays and weekends.

Additional Information:

• Orientation: 1-2 shifts on the unit.
• Floating: Possible to units 7E, 7W, 10W, 10E.
• CNA Support: 3 Certified Nursing Assistants per shift.

Guaranteed Hours:

36 hours per week with a contract length of 13 weeks and possibility for extension.
