Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team for a 12-hour night shift position. This role involves working in a dynamic 12-bed Med/Surg department, providing high-quality care to patients while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Key Details- Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled
- Location: City, State
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (possibly extendable)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratios: Maximum of 1:6 ratio, depending on capacity
- Certifications Required: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
- Experience: Relevant patient care experience in a Med/Surg or Acute setting
- License: Must possess a valid and unexpired driver’s license
- Background: Candidates must disclose any background hits at the time of submission
Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
Working EnvironmentThis unit serves as an overflow department to support the Emergency Department (ED) and is currently staffed by a Resource Pool along with reassigned personnel from other departments. Our future goal is to hire specifically for this department, while the flexibility to be reassigned may still apply.
