Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and advanced ARRT credentials for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an interventional radiology department specializing in angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and vascular access
- Adult patient population with a focus on critical care and procedural cases
- Uses a variety of advanced medical equipment and imaging technologies
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Monday through Friday rotating schedule, 07:30–17:00, with one day off every other week
- On-call required two weekdays per week and every third weekend, with additional holiday coverage as needed
- May be required to float within the skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles
- Responsibilities include assisting with IR procedures and ensuring the safe and accurate operation of imaging equipment
- Strong emphasis on teamwork with clinical and support staff
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US address
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a different pay rate based on radius rules
- Floating may be required within the local region according to operational needs
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Scrub attire requirements may be specified by the unit
- All Ascension assignments are auto offer positions
- Travelers should begin extension discussions with their managers 45 days before assignment completion
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or similar procedural setting
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced certification through ARRT in CI, CV, or VI
- Current Wisconsin Radiographer License (license required if applicable)
- Strong background in patient care and proficiency with sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
- Strong mainframe and PC skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and good organizational abilities
