Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and advanced ARRT credentials for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology department specializing in angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and vascular access
• Adult patient population with a focus on critical care and procedural cases
• Uses a variety of advanced medical equipment and imaging technologies
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Monday through Friday rotating schedule, 07:30–17:00, with one day off every other week
• On-call required two weekdays per week and every third weekend, with additional holiday coverage as needed
• May be required to float within the skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles
• Responsibilities include assisting with IR procedures and ensuring the safe and accurate operation of imaging equipment
• Strong emphasis on teamwork with clinical and support staff
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US address
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a different pay rate based on radius rules
• Floating may be required within the local region according to operational needs
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Scrub attire requirements may be specified by the unit
• All Ascension assignments are auto offer positions
• Travelers should begin extension discussions with their managers 45 days before assignment completion

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or similar procedural setting
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced certification through ARRT in CI, CV, or VI
• Current Wisconsin Radiographer License (license required if applicable)
• Strong background in patient care and proficiency with sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
• Strong mainframe and PC skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and good organizational abilities
