Shift Requirements: 12-hour days
Weekend Rotation: 2 weekends per month
Holiday Rotation: Rotate every other
Float Requirements: Yes, caregivers would be floated to sit for a patient and not perform actual
inpatient nursing duties.
On Call/Call Back Requirements: N/A
Certifications: WI or compact RN, AHA BLS, AHA PALS Required. (preferred ACLS & TNCC)
Education: ADN
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years, previous Emergency Department experience required, experience with pediatrics required. Level I Trauma experience preferred.
1 previous completed travel assignment required
Charting: Epic highly preferred
Required Skillset: Care for pediatric emergency department patients, including assessment, medication administration, teaching, wound care, EKG, obtaining vs, providing mental and behavior health care, etc. Provides nursing care in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high-risk body fluids, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals and waste. There is potential for personal injury from equipment or instruments, especially if proper procedure is not followed. Work may include exposure to temperature extremes, crowded workspace, noxious odors, or high noise level.
